How to troubleshooting the crash problem?

Issue: You might encounter this situation: when doing some operation and then ZWCAD crash suddenly. Generally the crash problem happens because of some special entity in the drawing. You can trouble shooting this problem by following tips.

Possible Cause1: Some special configuration of the drawing cause crash.

Solution: Delete all the entities in the drawing and do crash operation again to check if the crash happens. This helps you to check if the problem is relative to the drawing configuration.

Possible Cause2:Caused by some special configuration or special data setting.

Solution:  Copy all entities to a new-create drawing, save it, do the crash operation in this new -drawing, check if the crash happens. (Necessary check point)

 Possible Cause2: Due to some special entities.

Solution:  Delete some kind of entities and then do the crash operation again, if it doesn’t crash that mean the problem is relative to this kind of entities. You can use Qselect to find out one kind of entities.Generally we recommend you to check the entities by this order: External reference, block, text/mtext, hatch, polyline, spline...
