3D Geometric Modeling Kernel Developed by ZWSOFT
Overdrive is a 3D modeling kernel technology with completely independent intellectual property. It originated from VX Corporation in the USA, whose technologies and the core R&D team were acquired by ZWSOFT in 2010.
Overdrive is a collection of 3D modeling algorithms to achieve the consistency of 3D models in geometric shapes and geometric relationships through geometric calculations.
Geometric: Intersect, Project, Split, Combine, Extend, Offset, etc.
Modeling: Boolean operations, Sweep, Loft, Fillet, Draft, Shell, synchronous modeling techniques, etc., and each of them supports tolerance modeling.
Easy data exchange with seamlessly model import and export. Useful model detect and healing functions.
Solid-surface Hybrid Modeling: surface and solid modeling at the same time under the same environment. Boolean operations can also be directly carried out between them.
Parametric Modeling and Direct Modeling: parametric modeling and direct modeling can be used simultaneously, and parametric and non-parametric modeling can be switched easily.
Through 10 years of R&D and product iteration, the Overdrive kernel has been proven effective in a large amount of industrial design and production.
It is now applied to ZW3D, ZWSim-EM, ZWSim Structural and ZWMeshWork, and fields like automotive, mechanical, electronics, etc. It also acts as the technological foundation of ZWSOFT BIM solution.
