1 Choose your pattern:

Here you select the 3D surface you want to unfold. Pressing the "More..." button more patterns are shown.

If you press the "Settings..." button, you leave this dialogue to go to the Settings dialogue.

2 Parameter input:

Enter the dimensions of your sheet metal pattern, as for example:

X and Y: Length and width of the rectangular end.

R: Radius of rounded (fillet) rectangular end.

D: The diameter of the circular end.

T: the sheet metal thickness.

H: the pattern height.

3 Get your 3D Object, its Development, and the 2D Contour:

After finishing the input of your parameters, LITIO draws the 3D object and its flat development.

Afterwards, you can use the 2D developments for CAM cutting (plasma, laser, etc.) or print it to scale and use it as a template for manual cutting.

4 Setting preferences:

The following settings are available:

Dimensions: Inside, outside, or mid cross sectional dimensions.

Height: Inside, outside, or mid height.

Draw: Choose what to draw or not: You can draw the 3D surface, and the unfolded development, either as a mesh (for easier bending), or as 2D contour (to ease cutting).

Precision: You can also select the precision of the calculation of the developments.

5 Metric Units/Imperial units: LITIO automatically sets its units according to the units used in the current drawing session (according to the values of MEASUREMENT and LUNITS system variables). (Refer to your BricsCAD/ZWCad user manual for further information on Metric and Imperial units, and on the use of MEASUREMENT and LUNITS system variables).
