A Letter to ZWCAD Customers

Dear ZWCAD Customer,

I’m ZWSOFT’s CEO, Truman Du. First of all, I’d like to express my sincere thanks for your continuous support to ZWSOFT and ZWCAD all these years.

In the afternoon of November 6th (PST), ZWSOFT and Autodesk finally signed the settlement in California to resolve the lawsuit, both parties reached an agreement to end ZWCAD + and AUTOCAD intellectual property disputes in Hague, the Netherlands February 2014 and California March 2014. Today, November 18th 2015, ZWSOFT and Autodesk made public statement about the settlement on their official websites and some media websites. (The attached are public statements of both parties and FAQ)

I represent ZWSOFT sincerely to apologize for the concerns using ZWCAD+ during the lawsuit! ZWSOFT appreciates the support and recognition from all the customers in the tough times. ZWSOFT assure you that, together with all the partners, we will continue to provide subsequent new version upgrades as well as better service for old customers.

FAQ

 

1. Q: Can I continue to use my copy of ZWCAD+?

A: Yes, if you purchased and activated the product before October 15, 2015.

 

2. Q: As it mentioned in the public statement, customers who purchased ZWCAD+ may contact ZWSOFT to change to ZWCAD Classic. Is this optional or compulsory?

A: As you can see in ZWSOFT public statement, it said “May” instead of “Must”, Customers can make their own decisions whether to change to ZWCAD Classic according to their needs, it is just an option not a must.

 

3. Q: What is ZWSOFT subsequent product plan?

A: ZWSOFT has already released ZWCAD Classic, a reliable and proven CAD product. ZWSOFT is also developing ZWCAD 2017, which will come out in the spring of 2016. At that time, ZWSOFT and its partners will release some rewarding programs to thank the continuous support from old customers.

 

 

4. Q: How ZWSOFT can guarantee that its future products are free from intellectual property risks?

A: After the lawsuit, ZWSOFT gained a more accurate understanding to CAD related international intellectual property system. ZWSOFT will take effective measures to strengthen internal management and establish a third party monitoring mechanism to ensure that future product s are free from intellectual property risks.
