Marcin Sikora, a licensed structural engineer since 2003, has more than 17 years of CAD experiences. With job involving around calculations and drawings, he has extensive experience in the building industry. Marcin has been the user of ZWCAD for more than 6 years and today he wants to share with us his story with ZWCAD and why the loyalty to ZWCAD has carried so long.
Marcin was once an AutoCAD user and started from AUTOCADR13 (Windows 3.11) to AUTOCAD 2006. In the year of 2008, Marcin started his own business as a building constructor, like every newly-started business, the tight budget drove him switch to other affordable CAD programs. Because switching to another CAD alternative is a big commitment so he had been looking on the internet for a cost-effective software to calculate constructions and design in CAD for a long time before making the decision. Then he found ZWCAD 2008, honestly, ZWCAD 2008 was not the only one he found but the most similar one to AUTOCAD 2006 which he was already familiar with. Switching to ZWCAD 2008 was intuitive. That's why he chose it.

Then in 2009, Marcin volunteered to help improve Polish E-CAD application for building constructors who work with ZWCAD by testing and commenting on it. During the period, Marcin gained a more in-depth view to ZWCAD and became more passionate about it. Since the seminar in Wroclaw, Poland, 2013, he has been involved in the development of ZWCAD ARCHITECTURE 2012, because he is confident about its potential in the future. In order to gain more professional thoughts , he consulted and shared development ideas with his sister Sylwia who is an experienced architect. They both use the version ZWCAD ARCHITECTURE from 2012 to 2015.

ZWCAD Architecture is what they mainly use now. Integrated with ARTISAN, both programs complement each other in terms of rendering, perspective, light and shadows, textures. His favorite commands based on ZWCAD ARCHITECTURE are 3D modeling tools to help design: Wall, Column, Beam, Slab, PATH-SURFACE, based on ZWCAD + are tools associated with ACIS solids and Express Tools. In his latest project, Marcin was kind of worried that whether he was going to be frustrated by the 3D rendering, however the 3D modeling tools and express tools in ZWCAD Architecture largely facilitated his work on the project of multiflat building by allowing him fast generating vivid 3D models.
