ZWSOFT Opened the 2021 China Engineering Software Innovation Summit Roadshow

GUANGZHOU, CHINA: April 27, 2021 – On April 21, ZWSOFT held the first China Engineering Software Innovation Summit successfully in Shenzhen. More than 200 local customers, partners, etc. attended the event and were enlightened on how manufacturers can expedite digital transformation with cutting-edge CAx technologies.

“This summit serves as a platform for our customers, partners, and industry experts to interact. By sharing the latest CAx technological achievements and experiences of applying them, we aspire to help our users better innovate and digitalize manufacturing processes with new ideas and perspectives," stated Kingdom Lin, the VP at ZWSOFT.

Enabling Smart Manufacturing with the All-in-One CAx Solutions

Now that the digital transformation of industries has accelerated, advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and 5G are enabling smart manufacturing. As a key tool for forward engineering and the data source for digitalized production, engineering software for R&D and design, for example, CAD/CAE/CAM software, are required to be more and more versatile so that product innovation and manufacturing speed up.

To address this situation, Kingdom Lin delivered a speech, recalling ZWSOFT‘s innovation journey and analyzing the value of CAx technologies in the development of the MFG industries. Moreover, he pointed out that with the core technologies accumulated over decades, ZWSOFT will continue providing global users with reliable all-in-one CAx solutions and services. According to Kingdom Lin, all-in-one CAx is designed to be a collaborative platform that is defined by models and driven by data, based on which a reliable data system will be formed. Driven by data, it can cover the whole product development lifecycle, as well as various fields, disciplines, and industries. Eventually, digital models and physical entities will be connected, so are the virtual world and reality.

ZWSOFT Products for MFG: Core Technologies and Development Plans

By keeping up with the market and exploring the CAx field, ZWSOFT has developed core technologies and formed a product matrix centering 2D CAD, 3D CAD/CAM, and multidisciplinary CAE simulation. At this summit, the latest roadmaps of ZWCAD, ZW3D, and ZWSim series have been revealed.

To begin with, Eddy Cai, product manager at ZWSOFT, talked the audience through the evolution of ZWCAD for the past 19 years. He declared, “Given that ZWCAD is now powerful, compatible, stable, and extensible, we will keep boosting its efficiency, making it more intelligent, and equipping it with new technologies.”

Following Eddy, William Li, technical director at ZWSOFT expounded what makes ZW3D robust and where it is headed. He believed that powered by Overdrive, the self-developed 3D geometric kernel, this integrated 3D CAD/CAM software will keep meeting diverse user needs for product design and manufacturing. “We plan to upgrade the core technologies of ZW3D so that it will support highly precise (10^-5) and large-scale (10⁹) models, the parametric design of more than 2,000 features, advanced G3 surface continuity, the assembly of millions of components, etc.”

Being the new and significant part of ZWSOFT‘s all-in-one CAx solutions, the ZWSim series also attracted a lot of attention. “As an emerging force in the CAE field, the ZWSim series now consists of three products, they are ZWMeshWorks (CAE platform with ready-made pre- and post-processors), ZWSim-EM (3D full-wave electromagnetic simulator), and ZWSim Structural (structural simulator by finite element method),“ said Orchid Jin, product manager at ZWSOFT. She also mentioned that more outstanding solvers of fluids, thermals, acoustics, optics, etc. will be integrated into the ZWMeshWorks platform to help users with simulation-driven design.

At the end of this event, Roy Liu, senior technical consultant at ZWSOFT, explained how esteemed enterprises such as Skyworth, Foxconn, and BYD Auto adopted ZWSOFT solutions to accelerate and digitalize their manufacturing procedures. He said, “As a user-centered software provider, ZWSOFT has been dedicated to aiding companies in meeting all kinds of needs by offering all-in-one CAx solutions, customization support, and global technical services.” A number of attendees commented that they got inspired by how their peers smoothly switch to and use ZWSOFT products.
